Through Gmail Android and iOS App
Since its inception, Google offers “Gmail” an email service provider software to its customers. Gmail crosses 1.5 billion active users globally and stands out as the most dominant email service provider among its rivals. A month back after the wide launch of “Google Meet” it surpassed 50 million downloads in few days but compared to Zoom Google still behind in the race as “Zoom” crosses 100 million downloads on Android alone.
“Today, we’re bringing Meet to Gmail on Android and iOS, so that you can easily join video meetings from your inbox,” Google wrote in a blog. Now its crystal clear that Google has declared the promotion war with its rivals by taking this step.
Below are some features and updates Google will release in the coming weeks:
- New “Meet” tab on the phones Gmail app
- Schedule an upcoming meeting in Google calendar with a single tap join option
- “New meeting” option to start the meeting instantly
- Option to remove the “Meet” tab by changing settings from Gmail app
